Upstairs to browse in my favorite garden shop. The owner is a very interesting man...says he likes the energy Texans bring to CA. Then we discussed LIFE. He has not listened to the gloom & doom news in 2 yrs. he said. His business is down from the crazy days when money flowed like fog in CA but, as he says, he is able to pay his bills each month and have a bit leftover so he feels lucky. I bought a ceramic flower to add to my window box collection . May return for one of these cute roosters & a ladybug. It's just such a hassle bringing these delicate objects home.
