Hilton Kudos

This is a long & complicated story but...we paid for a night at the Hilton on hotels.com for our return in Sept. That trip was cancelled by tour company. We could not get a refund. BUT, the wonderful manager at the Copenhagen Hilton was so kind. Even tho' he could not help us with the room situation, we asked for a meal comp. He gave us a dinner ($60 each) & a breakfast ($30 each) comp. We had paid $95 each for the room so only lost $5 on the deal. MORAL:
1. Stay at Hilton when you can.
2. Do NOT use hotels.com if there is any chance your plans will change. Nancy made about 7 calls to hotels.com w/NO results.
