I have seen many fancier & more expensive Stations of the Cross than this but, to me, these are so beautiful...painted on wood. I like to imagine the early native people did the work when Father Serra founded Carmel Mission in 1748.After Mass, lunch at the Tuckbox (ch. pot pie for Wil & Welsh rarebit for me +, of course, their famous scones & clotted cream); then a little shopping (orange purse for me!); & a visit to the Cheese Shop: prima donna (Yes, there IS such a cheese!); young gouda; jalapeno jack; & habanero jack (HOT!!!). Time now to enjoy w/some CA wine on the deck.

It is so obvious you guys are having a ball! I love reading all about it! And doing some reminiscing too since we traveled some of those same roads in 1966-69! Enjoy the cheese for me please!
