A nice day off from golf...breakfast at Jeffrey's (Omelette for Wil & eggs Benedict for me). Received a surprise phone call from Beverly...good to talk to her. We were not at the house so reception was fine. Facial for me in the early afternoon. Then, Mass again at the Mission. The gospel was that Mary & Martha one, which has always bugged me a bit. I mean, after all, why couldn't EVERYONE be in the kitchen helping to clean up, etc. However, again the priest gave us (me!) a different insight: what that gospel is about is LISTENING to the voice of God & not being so busy all the time that we miss His voice. OK...now I get it. We have always been so blessed on our trips to experience so many wonderful & different churches w/grand new insights into God's Word & living life. He also "suggested" we find lots of times during the day to pray, e.g. washing the dishes. If you wash the dishes, everyone else will eagerly leave the room. Ha! Ha! How true!
