Why do we come out here year after year?Wil: because it is peaceful, tranquil, good conversation, wonderful weather, & "I am with my Love."
Linda: to slow down & have more time to PRAY - whether it be morning prayers in the dining room w/coffee; thought provoking sermons at the Mission; or newly discovered websites to savor in the quiet dark of night (aholyexperience.com).
...to slow down & have more time to PLAY -
1. golf; obviously w/21 rounds this year due to amazing deals on golfnow & riding...no walking this year. We enjoy the golf more when we re not worn out.
2. reading; finished 2 600 page books (Cutting for Stone & East of the Sun) & a year's worth of AARP magazines...working on the final read (Love in a Glass), a memoir by Dorothy Gaither & John Brecher (wine columnists from the WSJ)
3. sew; completed the 2 quilts & ready to mail them home
4. cooking w/time to enjoy the meals & fresh produce from local Farmers' Mkt.
5. sleeping 8 or 9 hrs. a night...such a treat
6. watching TV (crime shows & Raymond reruns
7. bask in the sunshine...wrap up warmly in the chill & fog
8. exploring something new or the same each year (new golf courses; Spreckels, Tuckbox, Joe Rombi's, Moss Landing, PacRep Theatre)
9. MOST IMP. - time for Wil & I to be together w/no responsibilities except what pleases us each day. After all, isn't that what a honeymoon is SUPPOSED to be
