A first big highlight of the month: the Annual Spreckels 4th of July Antique Car Parade and Firefighters' Muster...exactly what you'd imagine a small town 4th to look like...yummy tri-tip sandwich and strawberry shortcake. We couldn't figure out why we were SO FULL & then realized we usually share the shortcake. Oh, well. It is Alan's 6th birthday & if one is going to pig out on anything on his birthday, it should be strawberry related!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALAN, DEAR! We LOVE you!! N & B
